I recently gave a lecture at the Negative World Conference in Vancouver, Washington that is the most complete version of my three worlds of evangelicalism model yet. It’s my analysis of the way American society’s views of Christianity have changed over the past 60 years, and how evangelical church has responded to those changed. This model helps explain the turmoil currently roiling that movement. Some people prefer audio-visual content to the written word, and this my best presentation on the topic to date.
The negative world is my term for the unprecedented era we live in, in which for the first time in the 400 year history of America, society at large, particularly its elite, official precincts, actively view Christianity negatively. As you can see, it was the theme of the entire conference.
