Re: pot

On a nice day at home, I love opening the windows or being out in the yard. The breeze is nice, the colors of the yard and garden are great, and the birds are chirping. I might have a cookout or campfire. Then the neighbor decides to light one up. Demoralizing.

There are a couple of smoke shops near me with a look that make Pottersville in Its A Wonderful Life seem tame.

When you see the comments to these editorials, every time they bring up alcohol. They can’t address the issue with their own product. When I hear random people complain about the smell of pot along with editorials like this one, it makes you ask if the pro-marijuana folks overplayed their hand.

I do not smoke pot so it's not my "product". But I have see far more problems in society with people get boozed up and behaving badly, and in the case of alcoholics drinking themselves into an early grave-- two old friends of mine went that route last year, dead before 60. (Full disclosure I stopped at the bar and had a Long Island ice tea last night-- but just one)

I do believe we need to regulate pot a lot more than we do. The high potency stuff needs to go. Pot smokers I know complain that too much of it is too strong these days. Imagine if all the booze sold was as potent as the 151 proof rum you can get.
