Canada has become infamous for its “MAID” (Medical Assistance in Dying) program. Over 13,000 people were killed under this program in 2022, with growth rates of over 30% annually in the two previous years. MAID accounted for 4.1% of all deaths in Canada that year.
Dr. Ewan Goligher is a Canadian physician and researcher in Toronto who wrote the book How Should We then Die?: A Christian Response to Physician-Assisted Death. He joins me to talk about the issue of physician assisted death from a Christian point of view.
