Happy New Year everyone!
To kick off this year I wanted to briefly take a look back at my ten most popular post from 2025.
The End of Middle-Class Magic Kingdom. This commentary on a New York Times op-ed about how Disney World is now focused on serving the rich was my most popular piece of all time. Over 300,000 people read it.
Confronting the Unspeakable Truth. My riff on Jacob Savage’s Compact essay about discrimination against white male Millennials was also very popular.
The Problem of Male Friendship. This one was also a commentary on a New York Times article. It’s interesting that my top three pieces were all extended commentaries on articles that originated elsewhere. Obviously these were topics that resonated.
The Maturation of New Calvinism - The title say it all. How the New Calvinist movement went through the adoption curve from growth to maturity.
When Selfishness Becomes Celebrated - My look at how the media now glamorizes women who divorce good husbands for purely selfish reasons.
The Retreat of the Successful - A guest post from Justin Powell about what communities lose when local businessmen sell out and retire to Florida. Justin is really pouring his heart and soul into his hometown in Ohio.
Dying for Sex. This digest post led with more examples of the selfishness being celebrated genre.
Beyond Boomerism - My call for younger generations to psychologically disconnect themselves from being over shackled to the frameworks of Boomer America
The Rich, the Poor, and the Ultra-Rich - Another piece looking at how businesses now cater to the rich more than the middle class. Obviously this is another popular topic.
Andrew Tate or Panda Express - How the “Man up!” lectures of “spiritual Boomerism” send young men into the arms of the manosphere.
Last year was another all time record high for article views and subscribers. Thanks so much to all of you who made that possible by sharing my work with others and becoming a paid subscriber or member. I couldn’t do it without you.
